Herbert Hoover was the 31st president of the United states, from 1929 to 1932. Herbert was born 1874 and died 1964. He was an insensitive president due to his actions during the Great Depression. During the Great Depression, he took some blame of the Great Depression, but didn’t do much to help because he undervalued how bad it was. He lost his second election to FDR in 1932. Harry Truman was the president from 1945 till 1956 and was the 33rd president. He lived from 1884-1972. He was vice-president till FDR died in 1945 and then was moved up to becoming the next president. He also was the president who made the decision to use the atomic bomb, help rebuild Europe, and helped keep communism contained.
